3 Things to Do Instead of Overgiving

Trying to prove your value by giving clients everything up front?

Don’t.

Your power isn’t in how much you say — it’s in how deeply they feel seen.

Here’s what to do instead:

🔹 1. Hold the Pause

Let silence do some of the work. Slowing down signals safety to the nervous system.

Sometimes, what your client doesn’t say reveals more than what they do.

🔹 2. Reflect What You See

Instead of rushing to solve, mirror back a key phrase they used. “Did you notice you said, ‘I’ve always had to do it alone’?”

That one reflection can open doors faster than a full action plan.

🔹 3. Frame the Journey

Let them know you’re walking with them — and that there’s a process:

“This session is about understanding your starting point. From here, we’ll grow layer by layer.”
